Pot Luck Dinner Dance

We would like to recognize the generosity of the few parishioners
who have made the dinner food over the last few years for all
of the people who attended the dance. Without their contributions,
we would not have had our great dinners.

This year, rather than just a few people contributing,
we are asking all of the parishioners who are attending the dance
to bring food
so the contributions are spread out among many.

When you purchase your ticket, you will be asked to choose
from the board any one of the dishes that we will need to make the
dinner a success. We will hand you an aluminum foil pan in which you can
bring your dish. The names of the people will be put in a draw for a prize.

We thank you for your cooperation.
Together, we can make this year's dinner dance
fundraiser a success!

Tickets and sign-up sheets are available in the lobby after Mass.

We need help with:
Set-up Thursday October 26 @ 3:00 pm and
Take-down/Clean-up Saturday October 28 @ 9:30 am.

Contributions towards our raffle/door prizes and auction are always
greatly appreciated. Without these contributions, our event would not be a
success. Any remaining items will be donated to the Salvation Army.
Please submit donations directly to the office.

Family Services Toronto

New helpful and supportive discussion groups
available for this fall season.

**Other resources focussing on aid and support
are posted on the bulletin board in the North Lobby.

We are collecting the outer milk bags.

Please bring them to the church, folded not crumpled,
and place them in the box in the North lobby (near the washrooms).

The bags are brought to St. Gabriel's Parish, where a
group meets to weave bed mats once a month.

The milk bag mats offer people an invaluable, durable and
washable alternative to sleeping on the ground.

Please Note

Please be mindful of keeping outer church doors closed and remembering
to turn off lights when leaving an empty room. KEEP ELECTRICITY COSTS DOWN!

Do not park your car on the west side of the church between the garage doors
and the school fence. This is a fire route. You will be ticketed and towed!

If you have a change of address or telephone number, please let us know.

As a courtesy, if you are planning to move could you please let the office know.
The envelopes cost money. It would help the parish save if you let us know
ahead of time. Thank you.

For parishioners with children who are now 18 years of age or older and working,
we encourage them to register under their own name.

For donations made by cheque, please make it out to St. Bartholomew Church.
Just indicate on the memo section which charitable institution you would want
the money to go to in order for us to process your donations.

Come and Join Our Parish Family

Registration significantly helps several parish processes including Baptism,
Confirmation and Wedding. It also enables the parish office to give you
letters of reference and tax receipts.

Registration forms are available in the Parish Office,
or you can download a registration card here.

Inspiring Catholic CDs available

Want to learn more about your faith?
Want to make your time traveling to and from work more fruitful?
Looking for gifts for friends and family?

CHECK OUT the CD stands in the NORTH and SOUTH narthex.
There is even a CD for children. $5 each.

Please remember to contribute toward your pledge, which you made to the
Family of Faith campaign. Your continued payments of your commitment
to our campaign will enable us to fund future project(s) such as the
construction of our Hall that will help in many practical ways to welcome
and to serve those who come to our church to encounter Christ.

To date we have received our parish share of $54,418.17.

Parishioners making payments against their Family of Faith pledge should send their
payments directly to the Family of Faith campaign with their name, address,
payment, and parish name along with the city at the following address:

Family of Faith Campaign
Donation Processing Centre
1155 Yonge Street
Toronto, Ontario M4T 1W2

Phone Number: (416) 934-3400 ext. 536

All cheques MUST be made out to Family of Faith Campaign.

Tax receipts will be issued directly by the Archdiocese, not this parish.
If you have questions about your tax receipt, please contact
Arthur Peters at 416-934-3400, x559, or apeters@archtoronto.org.
