In a few weeks new sessions in this ongoing process will once again begin.

If you are interested in taking part in the initiation process of becoming
Roman Catholic, please register at the parish office.

"The Church exists in order to evangelize. All Catholics
are called to evangelize, no matter what we do for a living."
-Pope Paul VI

FROM THE HUMBLE MILK BAG
TO THE TRESURED BED OR THE FASHION BAG...
We are collecting the outer milk bags.

Please bring them to the church, folded not crumpled,
and place them in the box in the washroom lobby.

The milk bag mats offer people an invaluable, durable and
washable alternative to sleeping on the ground.

Used by health-care professionals as a make-ready substitute for operating
bed/table. It takes approximately 400 milk bags to make an adult sized mat.

Donated to the homeless in Canada, Syrian refugees in Greece and other disaster
stricken countries. Canadian milk bags don't disintegrate or retain moisture,
are very strong, UV resistant, are washable and have a life span of 25 years.
It has empowered the women in the Third World Countries to make money to
support their families by creating many products from floor mats to hand bags.

Teachers applying to TCDSB

Graduating this year as a teacher? Applying as a teacher for the TCDSB?
Download the priest reference form from
https://www.archtoronto.org/Documents/catholic-outreach/priest_reference.pdf ,
fill out your part and read what you expect Fr. Fred to fill in.

If you don't volunteer in the church and Fr. Fred doesn't know you, how will he
be able to fill out the form favourably? You must be a registered parishioner
and start doing some volunteer work at the church. We always need help.
Please check with the office and find out if you are a registered parishioner.

Expecting a Baby?

Want your child to be Baptized? You must be a registered parishioner for 3 to 6
months and attending Mass at this church before Baptism takes place.
Therefore, while you're pregnant make sure you check with the office
to see if you are registered.

Although Baptisms are not refused at St. Bartholomew Parish, there may be times
when they are delayed until various concerns are worked out.
Sacraments should not be entered into lightly, under family pressure,
or because they are seen as merely social or cultural conventions.
The pastor of the parish must be sure that a right understanding and a proper
disposition towards the sacrament is evident before they can proceed.

We are not looking for perfection from our parents but a reasonable assurance
that the promises they will be making at the baptismal celebration are
meaningful to them and to the faith life of their family.

Please Note

Please be mindful of keeping outer church doors closed and remembering
to turn off lights when leaving an empty room. KEEP ELECTRICITY COSTS DOWN!

ATTENTION!
Do not park your car on the west side of the church between the garage doors
and the school fence. This is a fire route. You will be ticketed and towed!

If you have a change of address or telephone number, please let us know.

As a courtesy, if you are planning to move could you please let the office know.
The envelopes cost money. It would help the parish save if you let us know
ahead of time. Thank you.

For parishioners with children who are now 18 years of age or older and working,
we encourage them to register under their own name.

For donations made by cheque, please make it out to St. Bartholomew Church.
Just indicate on the memo section which charitable institution you would want
the money to go to in order for us to process your donations.

Come and Join Our Parish Family

Registration significantly helps several parish processes including Baptism,
Confirmation and Wedding. It also enables the parish office to give you
